Help Shelley Rehabilitate From Major Car Accident
Shelley Klaus, beloved mother, grandmother, wife, and friend was in a serious accident Friday night on her birthday at the Barona drag strip. After a sudden mechanical issue her car suddenly veered off causing her vehicle to hit the barrier and become airborne. The vehicle then flipped multiple times down the track, shattering the windows and totaling the car with Shelley still in it. After first responders extracted her from the wreckage, she was life flighted to Sharp Medical Hospital via helicopter shortly after. She immediately was rushed into the operating room to undergo multiple surgeries. She’s suffering from multiple skull and spine fractures. She broke multiple bones including her left arm, ribs, shoulder, and clavicle. Her wrist needed reconstruction surgery in which they inserted pins to keep everything in place. She is currently stable and responsive. By the grace of God Shelley is still here with us today. As you all may know Shelley is a very hardworking woman and was transitioning between companies. With that said, she currently has no medical insurance. She has a long and painful recovery ahead of her but she is determined to make it through the rehabilitation forecasted to take several months. We ask that you keep Shelley in your prayers. If any one would like to donate to help support with medical bills, rehabilitation including physical therapy, and unexpected living expenses due to her loss of income, this would allow us to focus on her healing and would be greatly appreciated. We are also open to licensed medical services such as physical therapist or occupational therapist willing to offer their services and time as a donation. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers, consideration, and generosity.
07/24/2021 ** After a week in the hospital Shelley has returned home and is in good spirits. She is progressing in her rehabilitation slowly but surely. She is expected to make a full recovery.
*ALL DONATIONS GO DIRECTLY TO SHELLEY*
