Help Shelley and Family Through Tumor Treatment
Donation protected
Shelley Miller has been battling a brain tumor for more than 20 years. In that time, she raised her kids, Abby and Seth, with her husband, Dean; turned her passion for making beautiful cards into a business; and became a grandmother. After multiple initial surgeries, regular check ups at Mayo Clinic revealed minimal to no tumor growth. But over the last few visits, that report has changed. Now, Shelley needs aggressive treatment to stop the tumor from growing further, which will cause blindness. These are life-saving measures.
This treatment requires Shelley to spend five weeks at Mayo Clinic, where she will need full-time assistance to help manage her daily activities and get her to and from treatment. Her parents, Dave and Laurie Holm, and her son, Seth Miller, will spend that five weeks with Shelley at Mayo. Unfortunately, all medically covered short-term stay options were booked. This means Shelley's family will need to pay for their own accommodations while they help care for her.
We hope to raise enough money to help them offset the cost of this stay, in addition to other travel costs like food and gas. Beyond their stay at Mayo, remaining funds will help cover costs associated with Shelley's ongoing care as she recovers, and expected future treatment needs.
