Help Shelle Covington Through Rehab and Recovery
GoFundMe for our dear friend and colleague, Shelle Covington. Shelle has been gracing the halls and units of Mercy for 24 years. She has devoted much of her time to providing care to patients, teaching and guiding new employees, and has been an amazing leader for the PCTs. She is always willing to lend a helping hand and now she needs our help.
As some of you know, Shelle was diagnosed with colon cancer with lymph node involvement in 2023. She has fought hard and continues to do so even while working and taking care of countless others. Two months ago, she began having trouble with her legs and last week a CT scan revealed that she had a tumor in her brain. On Friday, March 7th, she had surgery and they were able to remove about 95% of it. Shelle is currently experiencing right-sided weakness, which will require her to go to rehab for a period of time. Following rehab, she will be going for radiation treatments. As a result, she will be unable to work for at least 6 weeks and possibly longer.
I am reaching out to ask you to please consider donating to help our dear friend in her time of need. All funds will go directly to Shelle to help with the cost of living expenses, medical bills, and anything else she may need during this difficult time. She is a mom, daughter, sister, aunt, fiancée, cousin, and the list goes on. Shelle really means so much to so many!
Please consider donating. Thank you so much!
