My Friend and Co-worker Tracy Vandendriessche, started my campaign of the Go-Fund-Me. Her story about me and the battle I am facing from Lyme disease that is now at the Chronic Stage:

For about 4 years I have known Shelia, and for the last 2 +years she has been battling the debilitating Lyme Disease. It has robbed my dear friend of all of her vitality. Its unimaginable to picture her today as this goddess warrior you see in the picture above.
We where talking today, and she "can't believe that this small bug (Tick) did all of this, good thing I'm strong in my mind and body otherwise, (fighting tears..) I don't know,..."
At first, the medical treatment was bleak. Getting the Canadian medical doctors to admit that her symptoms pointed to Lyme as the culprit. She first went threw psychological and medical trauma to get noticed. Only now to get help it was far past due and the bacteria was in the later stages of the advanced disease by attacking her joints, swelling in her legs and started affecting her throat, lungs, organs and brain.
Finally, she found a specialist, they took blood samples; however in Canada the blood tests are sent to the United states for testing at the patients personal cost, and then the treatment once discovered ( came back positive for Lyme) is also at the cost of the patient.
How your donation today could help Sheila, is that it would allow her to access the treatment, the special diet she needs, to help pay off some of the accumulated debt. She needs help in a big way to win her battle win Chronic Lyme Disease and get back to a life worth living.
She is a proud strong woman, a rare gem that I'm proud to have as my friend. She has been paying out of pocket to treat herself with no outside help and its affecting her so deeply that basic human needs are falling by the way side in a BIG WAY. The medical insurance didn’t support her illness and she ended up having to leave work with a leave of absence with no pay.
She needs to heal....., not worry about bills and loosing her home, to afford the proper. nutrition, supplements, and all other things to aid her in the battle she is facing.
And as far as her home goes, her plumbing has caused major disruptions in her healing journey by backing up and bursting pipes, causing black and grey water to flood throughout her home. This alone is a cost that is too much to bear somewhere in a range of 15,000. Currently she is doing all the work herself, busting out all the concrete flooring with a hammer and a chisel while being exposed to the toxic mess that lies underneath the foundation floor. Her health is depleting once again as the Lyme attacks her aggressively when her health is being compromised. She said to me a short time ago that she is sacrificing herself to make others in the home safe. This is Sheila, the woman I know who will do anything for anyone, who is driven, and will sacrifice all to help others. Let’s do the same for her! If anyone could help out with this that would go a very long way to help the healing begin.
