Sheldon has been part of my life for five years, ever since I rescued him as a tiny kitten from behind a gas station. He’s always been a sweet, loving companion, and now he needs help more than ever.

Recently, something bit Sheldon on his left hind leg—most likely a raccoon. I rushed him to the emergency vet, where he needed stitches to close the wound. Because I’m on disability after a stroke, I couldn’t afford all the treatments the vet recommended, and the bill is very high. I’m especially worried because his foot is unaligned. While it’s not broken, the vet thinks he may have a torn tendon, and Sheldon needs to go back two more times for bandage changes and to have his stitches removed in two weeks.
