Sheldon is my sweet baby boy, the light of my life. He’s been with me for 12 and a half years, and Ben’s adopted son for almost 6 years. He’s the king of the castle, and the best cuddle bug you could ever ask for.

What started as a routine checkup on Tuesday ended with a need for Sheldon to have major dental surgery. We’re willing to do whatever we need to ensure Sheldon has the best quality of life, especially in his old age. He’ll need about 6-7 teeth pulled and the estimate is a whopping $3,200-$4,000 for the surgery; an expense we were certainly not expecting.

At the urging of some wonderful friends, I’ve set up this GoFundMe as an option for anyone that would like to help, though we truly don’t expect you to give when all of us are struggling right now.

To know Sheldon is to love Sheldon, and as his family, we are going to make sure he has this surgery as soon as possible so he can get back to being the snuggly lovebug we all know him to be (as I write this, he’s curled up in my lap, fast asleep).
