Help Shelby with a new car for her small business

Hi, my name is Shelby, a small business owner who creates joy and whimsy in my pottery creations.

I have been working hard for months to finally afford the studio of my dreams. As soon as I achieved this dream, my business car was stolen from my home address on the 12th of September at 6.00am.

Devastated over working so hard for months to finally achieve my dreams, the vehicle that keeps my business running smoothly was taken from me.

I use my car to deliver orders, collect supplies, run to the post office, everything. I don't have another car, I don't have the option to afford another one after just getting the studio sorted. You never expect things like this to happen and they do.

The car was only covered under third party and they have said that it doesn't cover for theft. We were unable to afford full comp insurance as we didn't have a shed accessible to store the vehicle in so the insurance was astronomical. We would have had full comp if we could afford it. It just sucks that we are in a position where we cant afford to protect the car with insurance and when we finally work hard to save for a new space to protect it, it gets stolen before it is built.

I hate asking for help, I don't really feel comfortable doing this at all but I had a lot of people feel really helpless with me and wanted to show their support somehow. Please know that I am so grateful but please don't feel like you need to donate. I will just keep working harder and harder and hopefully this is just a small bump on the road. Any funds donated will go towards a new (secondhand) car to keep my business running in the interim and excess will go towards the studio fit out/ setup.

I am not really sure how much cars cost now days. I have had my beauty for four years (really sad about how mistreated and banged up it probably is now :( ). This is only a guesstimate goal of what I'm going to be up for with rego, roadworthy and potential maintenance for a new secondhand car.

It could be more or it could be less, I am really unsure but whatever is left over will be used towards fitting out the new studio (electricity, carpentry, plumbing etc).

Again, I really hate asking for help but this just stings after a wild year of trying to expand my business to now being stung with my work car being stolen right before I woke up for my Sunday morning coffee.
