Some of you know, but there are a lot of people that don’t. My sister, Shelby, had a heart attack at work on Tuesday, January 28. She went to Holzer ER, then was admitted the next day to Holzer ICU. While she was there, they did some testing and found she has four different blockages. They decided to transfer her to Riverside. They had to send her to the ER due to no available beds. Once in the ER at Riverside, they started their own cardiac workup while waiting for a room to become available. The decision was made that the best option was for her to have a quadruple bypass. She is now on the cardiac floor in her own room. Surgery is potentially scheduled for Monday or Tuesday. She is still waiting to hear an exact time.

With that all being said, Shelby does not have insurance and will also be off work for a few months. She will be mad at me for asking for help for her, but I’d like to help take some of her burden and worries off of her.
