Hi, I am Nana Sarah. My daughter Shelby & her husband Fidel had their 2nd little one on January 28th. He was born early through an emergency c-section. After just a short while, they found out that the baby's heart was not working quite right. Daddy & baby were then flown down to Los Angeles' CHLA for a heart surgery. Mommy came 2 days later. While they were able to hook up with Ronald McDonald for housing, they will still need much help in the way of food and travel. At this time, we do not know how long they will be there.

Thank you all so much for your incredible support and generosity. Your contributions have made a profound difference during this challenging time. Our little Rocky underwent surgery for Truncus Arteriosus Type 1, and I'm relieved to share that he's now awake, his chest is patched up, and he's doing a lot better than he was. We still have a long road ahead of us. Even after we take him home he will need regular check ups from his cardiologist in Los Angeles, and will need surgery to replace his artificial tube every several years, because as he grows the artificial tube does not grow with him. I never imagined reaching out for help, but I am deeply grateful for every single one of you who stepped up to support us. Your kindness has touched our hearts in more ways than I can express.
