I'm a first-time college student at 31, pursuing a nursing degree. As an autistic, first-generation college student, this is a big milestone for me. It took a lot of courage to start this journey, and I'm excited to work toward a career where I can help others and make a difference in my community. I want to either become a surgical nurse or a sexual assault forensic nurse examiner, somewhere I can truly make a difference during the hardest moments of someone’s life. I want to be an advocate for those who are afraid and often marginalized by the system.
Alongside my studies, I'm also working toward buying a house. Having a stable and private place to live would mean so much to me. It would give me a quiet space to study, host friends, and feel secure as I navigate college and life. Stability and privacy are important for my well-being, and a home would make it easier to focus on my education and personal growth.
The financial side of college and buying a house is overwhelming. Tuition, books, living expenses, and the costs of homeownership add up quickly. Your support will help me cover these costs, stay on track, and give my best effort to my education and future. Any support means the world to me. Thank you for believing in my journey and helping me reach my goals. Every donation, share, and kind word brings me closer to becoming a nurse and creating a stable, welcoming home.
