Hello...I am here to ask for help for my older brother. Over the last year his health has declined tremendously. He had a TIA last May that put him in the hospital for a month, and another one in November, he has type 2 diabetes with chronic kidney disease, neuropathy, orthostatic hypotension, among many other issues. He has been unable to work due to complications as he cannot stand or walk for more than a few minutes at a time or he gets dizzy and light-headed, which causes him to pass out...and that makes him a huge fall risk. He has neuropathy in his hands and feet which add to the struggle. We have dr appointments somewhere every week it seems. He's now on 13 medications and the doctors are still struggling to figure out the cause. We just pray they'll figure it out sooner than later so he can get back to work and life. He is a painter by trade for the last 30 years, but his condition has rendered him unable to work... therefore he has fallen so far behind on rent and utilities. His landlord and his roommate just came to us to tell us that he can no longer stay in the house he has been renting as a great tennant for the last 6 years. Hes trying to get disability but that's a waiting game...and could still get denied first try. He DOES NOT want to be in this position, he wants to get back to work...he has never needed any help. We are in DESPARATE NEED for a place for him to live....section 8 is not accepting applicants in our area at this time. If anyone has a low rent place pleeeease let me know! My sisters and I are doing all we can to help, but it's hard to keep up with so much...our bills and his...we just cant keep our heads above water anymore and are at our wits end. I didnt even want to set this up but we are truly out of options in this landslide and i have to try for his sake. He has no idea I am asking for this help as he is not one to ask or want any attention brought to him...but we haven't seen a light at the end of this tunnel yet. Im sorry this is so long but i feel like people need to know why they are donating and just how much we need it! Any help is so greatly appreciated by myself and my sisters and would be by him as well. God bless.
