I never imagined I would be in a position where I needed to ask for help like this. I know so many people are struggling right now, and asking for help is not easy for me. In fact, it's one of the hardest things for me. But I have reached a point where I simply don't know what else to do. I urgently need a reliable, fuel-efficient vehicle so I can continue getting to work and supporting myself. I'm not looking for anything fancy or expensive—just dependable transportation to get me from point A to point B.
For more than two and a half years, life has felt like one challenge after another. Through it all, I have kept moving forward, trusting that one day these tests will become testimonies of God's faithfulness. Financially, things are extremely difficult right now. I currently have a job that I love, but it requires more than an hour commute each way. Because of the distance, I have been spending a significant amount each month on fuel just to get to work. The high cost of gas is a major challenge, and it makes keeping my job even harder. Despite this, I have continued making the drive because I am grateful to have a job, and I am determined to keep working.
Last week, I started noticing problems with my vehicle. On June 4, 2026, I made it to work, but my truck broke down and had to be towed home. It is the only vehicle I own. Now I have no transportation to get to work. I do not have the money needed to repair my truck, and given the high fuel costs, it would make more sense to purchase a reliable, fuel-efficient vehicle and repair the truck later when I am financially stable again.
The reality is that every day I cannot get to work brings me closer to losing everything I have worked so hard to hold onto. The clock is ticking, and I am doing everything I can to prevent my situation from becoming even more difficult. Many people have helped me through the challenges of the last few years, and I am deeply grateful for every act of kindness I have received. I hate having to ask for help again. My goal is not to live on the generosity of others—it is to get back on my feet so that I can once again be the person helping someone else.
If you feel led to help, whether through a donation or simply by sharing this fundraiser, I would be incredibly thankful. Every contribution, no matter the amount, brings me one step closer to getting back on the road, keeping my job, and rebuilding my life. Thank you for taking the time to read my story, for your prayers, and for any support you are able to give. With gratitude, Sheila
