If you’ve ever had the joy of knowing Shei, you know she’s the kind of person who shows up with a smile, a home-cooked meal, and an open heart. She’s kind-hearted, selfless, and fun-loving, with a deep loyalty to her family and friends. For over 30 years, I’ve been lucky to call her a dear friend...and now she needs us to show up for her.

Just a month ago, Shei was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer. This week, she begins an aggressive five-month course of chemotherapy, followed by additional treatments. While her spirit is strong and her heart is full of faith, the road ahead will require her full focus, strength, and most of all rest.

Shei is the heartbeat of her family. She and her husband are raising three amazing kids, all currently in college. With treatment demanding time away from work, this effort will help ease the financial strain so she can focus on healing...not on bills.

She has never been one to ask for help. But as her friends, we know she’d be the first in line to help any of us if the tables were turned. If the spirit moves you, any contribution no matter the size will make a meaningful impact. And whether or not you’re able to give, your prayers and encouragement mean the world.
