Provide a Lifeline to 12 Friendly Cats & Kittens
Our small, donation-based rescue is already stretched thin, yet we couldn’t walk away from a local colony of affectionate cats and kittens who urgently need help.
There was no space and no funding, but leaving them unvetted would mean more litters and more suffering.
So we pulled strings, opened our homes, and made room—because every one of these cats deserves a healthy start and a loving future.
The situation became urgent when an EMS provider responded to a medical call at the home and was greeted by what looked like a yard full of “jumping beans”—playful kittens.
A closer look revealed several very sick kittens and unspayed adult cats, all in need of immediate attention.
Among the kittens is Buttercup, a feisty little fighter who weighed only 9 ounces when she arrived in foster care.
She was crawling with fleas and battling severe anemia, her mucous membranes ghostly white. Though her littermates didn’t survive, Buttercup is proving her strength—finding her voice, showing off her spirited personality, and steadily gaining health each day.
Six kittens are currently safe in foster care—three with me and three with another volunteer—where they’re receiving the love and medical attention they need to grow strong and become socialized.
Three additional kittens remain at the clinic, waiting for a foster home to open up.
Thanks to networking and community support, seven other kittens have already been transferred to another rescue, giving them a bright future.
The remaining adult cats will stay with the homeowner, who cherishes them and simply wants them healthy and spayed or neutered.
Their happy purrs, playful energy, and love for belly rubs show just how grateful they are for comfort and care.
We now need your support to cover:
Spay/neuter and full vet care for each cat and kitten
Food, litter, and daily supplies
Ongoing foster care while they grow strong and social
Our rescue runs solely on donations, and our resources are already depleted.
Every contribution—large or small—goes directly to vet bills and care.
The homeowner is kind and caring but lives on a limited income.
She feeds the cats daily and has even offered a small contribution from her Social Security check, yet the cost of proper vet care and supplies is far beyond her means.
Our rescue is helping her with spay/neuter, flea treatment, and vaccinations to prevent further suffering and overpopulation.
With your support, Buttercup and her companions can move from survival to safety—and our rescue can continue its vital work without falling further into debt.
