Help Sheeno Start A New Life With Dignity
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Sajjad Hussain, a student from Pakistan and an alumnus of a U.S.-funded exchange program SUSI. I’m raising funds for a brave, kind-hearted transgender woman named Sheeno, who has spent her entire life fighting for dignity, survival, and love in the margins of society.
At 47 years old, Sheeno lives in a small 2-bedroom rented space which she shares with fellow transgenders near Bari Imam, Islamabad. Originally from Sahiwal, she was forced to leave home when her extended family tried to sell her for 500,000 pakistani rupees. Her mother encouraged her to start a new life, shielding her as best she could from cruelty. For six long years, Sheeno selflessly cared for her sick parents until they passed, before finally setting out on her own.
Sheeno has always known she was different—drawn to cooking, cleaning, and caretaking since childhood—but society never made space for her dreams. Despite it all, she remains warm, resilient, and beloved in her community.
With only a third-grade education, her opportunities are painfully limited. She survives on begging, barely scraping together enough to make ends meet. With the new anti-begging laws of Islamabad, Sheeno’s only source of livelihood is perished. Due to her age and identity, finding stable work has become impossible. However, she has always had a bond with animals and wishes to earn her livelihood through animal husbandry.
We are raising funds to help Sheeno start a small goat farming business so she can live with dignity and independence. With your support, Sheeno can buy goats and earn a sustainable livelihood through animal husbandry—no more begging, no more shame, just self-respect and a chance at stability.
This fundraiser is not just about goats—it's about restoring hope to someone who has lived too long without it.
Please donate what you can, and share widely. Let’s help Sheeno build a better life—because everyone deserves a chance to stand on their own feet.
Thank you for your kindness.
