Hello everyone!

My name is Sheena Jolie, and after a tumultuous last few months of mayhem and constant long-distance travel, my trusty Gateway laptop is biting the dust. I would like to gently retire it to that green field of Old Computers, and get myself something that has the brain power to handle large files, both text and image, and can handle huge data transfers.

I write full-time, I'm a published author, and I recently gained custody of my 9 yr old niece and spent everything I could in making her safe, comfortable, and happy. I don't regret a single cent spent on her. I also can't afford to lose anymore writing time or my progress on current projects if/when my writing laptop finally dies completely. I am literally waiting for it to die in the middle of a manuscript at this point. I can't support anyone if I can't write. I need a new laptop to keep working.

I want to make the switch from PC to Mac, and an MacBook Air sounds perfect--I've accounted for the right model, software, accessories, and taxes in the projected goal amount.
