Hi, my name is Sheba "chibi-chi". My human,Meg, fostered me from the local SPCA to give me a break from severe shelter stress. She was warned about my being spicy but thought maybe I just needed a chance to shine. She was right! I had been rescued from a hoarder house and was extremely sick. The SPCA helped me come a long way in getting better but I struggled with recurring infections, bleeding, a compromised immune system from F.I.V, severe shelter stress and no socialization.
It only took a month as a foster before my human was determined to adopt me as her ESA. We survivors have to stick together after all. When first rescued I had chronic Otitis and couldn't stop bleeding from my ears! I have a massive infection of bacteria, fungi, inflammation all trapped by tumor growths and polyps. After adoption were were able to use electrocautery procedure to remove the blue and black growths that were trapping the infection in the upper ear for 2K but now we need a specialist soft tissue surgeon to remove the remaining tumor tissue deeper in the ear to permanently eliminate the infections and take some stress off of my immune system. It's an intensive procedure known as TECA/BO. My human is working her butt off and trying to hussle any way she can but like so many others, times are tough and debt is deep. We would be so grateful for any help if you can spare it. Sharing is a great way to help too!
