My father Charles has always been a strong and caring presence in my life, but everything changed when he was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. The cancer has spread to his appendix and bones, and he now faces a difficult journey with frequent doctor visits and treatments. It’s been overwhelming to watch from afar, especially since I haven’t seen him in over a year. The distance makes it even harder to process everything that’s happening, and I feel lost and confused not being able to be by his side.

I want nothing more than to travel to Arizona to be with my dad during this time, and to bring my daughter and granddaughter with me so we can support him as a family. However, the costs of travel, lodging, and taking time away from work are more than I can manage on my own.
