Help Shea Overcome Her Cancer Journey

Update 9/4/24 ***I just found out the cancer has metastasized to my brain and spinal cord. I am being transferred to Philadelphia to receive the best care, as I choose to fight for my life*** PLEASE DON’T STOP PRAYING FOR ME!

Hi my name is Shea and I am fund raising because in July 2023 I found a lump in my breast. In August 2024 I was diagnosed with Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) Invasive ductal carcinoma, Stage 3 metastatic with lymph node involvement. This has caused a huge financial strain on me. In August I started chemo therapy with a lot of side effects how my doctor explained it to me was people usually get a Volkswagen does of chemo your getting a Mac truck dose. The cancer is very aggressive and needs to be shrunk. I finished chemo in February 2024, and had surgery in March 2024, I am now getting radiation treatment Monday-Friday for 5 weeks which is 25 treatments I travel everyday 50 mins to treatment and 50 minutes home my days are exhausting. Next I will do immunotherapy and another 6 months of chemo followed by more surgery. During this time I have been hospitalized 6 times with pneumonia, severe sepsis, neutropenia and have had 3 surgeries. It’s been a long ride. During this time I worked when I could as a Graduate LPN & CNA. As time went on I was taken out of work as I couldn’t fulfill my duties. I tried my best to stay on top of finances without help I’m a independent single mother and just thought I could some how make it. I had no idea that Cancer would have the financial strain on me that it has had. I have borrowed from my 401 k, drained my bank account, and maxed out my credit cards. Also when I had no other choice I was selling platters of food trying to help me get by. Now I am just in too much pain and fatigued daily too keep up with that. My doctors had told me the other day during a talk “Shea who takes care of you” My response “me”. She said exactly you need to relax and let your body heal because no one is going to take care of you but you. So as hard as it was for me to make this fund raiser if you could find in your to heart donate a little something it could really help me on my road to healing and recovery.
