Our sweet friend Shea is lucky to be alive.

She was the victim of a brutal and senseless attack by her ex-boyfriend—an act of violence so severe that she was nearly beaten to death. The physical damage is devastating, and the emotional trauma is something no one should ever have to endure.

She is now facing a long, painful road to recovery. Her injuries are extensive, and she will require ongoing medical treatment, with the very real and big possibility of facial reconstruction surgery ahead. Every day is about survival, healing, and trying to piece her life back together.

But beyond her injuries, Shea is a mother. Her two young children need her—and right now, she needs help to be able to care for them and heal together as a family as they navigate the unknown and try to rebuild.

Because of the severity of her condition, she is unable to work and has no clear timeline for when she’ll be able to return. The weight of medical bills, daily living expenses, and providing for her children is overwhelming and growing by the day.
