Hi, my name is Shea. Asking for help isn’t easy for me, but this dream means everything, and I know I can’t get there alone.

I’m working toward a completely new career — becoming a firefighter, and eventually a firefighting and search-and-rescue pilot here in Colorado. Serving people, protecting my community, and being there on someone’s worst day has always been something that pulls at my heart. I want to spend my life helping save lives.

To get there, I need to complete two major steps:

• EMT Certification ($4,000)

• Firefighter I + Hazmat Certification ($4,000)

Together, it’s about $8,000 in schooling. I’m applying for financial aid, but it won’t cover everything, and paying for this on my own just isn’t possible right now.
