Help Shazia keep her family warm this winter
Donation protected
The humanitarian situation in Afghanistan remains one of the most complex in the world. As a result of severe economic hardships and the effects of over 40 years of conflict, millions of people have been displaced, lost their breadwinner and are in desperate need of support to meet their basic needs. This winter is expected to be severely brutal like last year’s, with temperatures as low as 5⁰ F (ref.: More than 160 Afghans die in bitterly cold weather ). Since the Islamic Emirate took power 26 months ago, the humanitarian crisis has worsened, including loss of 900,000 jobs and rising costs of staple goods (including wood and coal) making it much harder for Afghans to stay warm this winter.
Your help will provide life-saving assistance. This winter will be particularly hard for Shazia who lost her husband in a Taliban-caused car accident. She and her six children do not have access to drinking water. We are trying to help 20 needy families like this to have wood or coal ($200 per family), and warm clothes ($100 per family), to help them through this coming winter. Your donations will help these families to have safety, warmth, and dignified living conditions this winter.
Thank you,

My name is Fern Remedi-Brown and I am raising funds on behalf of my friend and former classmate Yasamin Khatera Nabizada, for reasons of safety.
The parties for whom we are raising funds are all close contacts of Yasamin when she lived in Afghanistan.
There are 20 individuals who have received funds for the past two years through our GoFundMe efforts. They are all widows or disabled individuals living in families without means. We are helping them to have wood or coal and warm clothes for the brutal winter.
There is no help from the Islamic Emirate. They rely on friends who have been successful in leaving Afghanistan.
