I am Shaimaa Abu Ajwa, 24 years old, a student of educational qualification. I once dreamed of becoming an English teacher and establishing an educational center in Gaza to build a promising generation—one capable of expressing themselves in a language understood by most of the world, one able to achieve their potential.
But then, this war came and shattered all my dreams. We have been stripped of the most basic necessities of life. Our biggest concern is no longer chasing ambitions but merely finding food—just a bite to keep us alive.
Yet, despite all this pain, hope still resides within me. My dreams may have been crushed, but I refuse to let war erase my ambition. Even in the midst of darkness, there is a glimmer of light.
Today, my dream is no longer just about opening an educational center—it has become something deeper. I want to be a voice for those who have lost theirs. I want to rebuild a future, not only for myself but for every child who once dreamed of learning, writing, and expressing themselves freely.
I know the road ahead is difficult, and the challenges are immense. But I believe that even the smallest act of support can make a difference. Every helping hand, every word of encouragement, every opportunity given could be the beginning of a new life for those who thought hope had disappeared.
My journey is far from over, and I still dream of the day when I will see the children of Gaza speaking with confidence, learning without fear, and building their future with unwavering determination. And maybe, with your help, we can turn this dream into reality.
