Help Support Baby Beckett

Some pretty incredible people named Shaylie and Zack met on Tinder and fell in love. Together they have been building the cutest blended family with the most handsome pup named Levi. This year they decided to expand their family even more....with a baby boy.

The universe works in mysterious ways and that little boy knew we were all so eager to meet him, that he decided to come a bit earlier than intended. On August 13th, that sweet boy named Beckett was born at 28 weeks gestation. He is currently in the NICU getting the care he needs, and will need to stay until he is strong enough to go home.

8/21/24 Update from family:

Little man was born 8/13/24 at 12:47 via emergency c section after I was having some complications leaving fluid in my lungs, around my heart, and my kidneys. After he was born, I was held for a few days and released Friday 8/16/24 with very strict instructions to monitor my blood pressure and take it easy, I’m at a huge risk for stroke and my blood pressures are not playing nice at all.

Beckett is doing well. He had some high blood sugars and a gray belly his first week, which was concerning but they seem to have resolved. He had his first blood transfusion over the past weekend and tolerated it well. He is still intubated and requires a vent to help him breathe. Right now we are watching him for high respiratory rate and trying to figure out why he is breathing so fast. He also may need more phototherapy for jaundice. I was able to change his diaper for the first time though! He also had an ultrasound of his head and he has no brain bleeds which is a huge win.
