If you have ever met Shay Jefferson, founder of Family Resource Centers of Missouri, then you know her giving nature, how she goes out of her way to help EVERYONE, and never asks for anything in return.

Now Shay needs our help. Shay was recently diagnosed with a 12 cm tumor, which will be removed this week. Very little is known at this point about the nature of the tumor and whether further treatment will be necessary. What is known is that she will be out of work for at least 6 weeks, and won't have an income for 10-12 weeks in the Best Case Scenario.

Shay is a single mom and has a special needs son, Justyn. If you've ever had major surgery with the insurance you can afford (not necessarily the insurance you need), you know that medical expenses pile up quickly. Add to that, normal expenses and Justyn's therapy, which alone is over $600 a week....well, it's not hard to see how a financial crisis is on the horizon.
