Shawnda has been sick for 2 years now with Burning Mouth Syndrome, Addison’s Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, and kidney damage. Also recently found out she has Amyloidosis disease which is very rare, 9 out of a Million.  It is a build up of amyloid proteins in the heart, kidneys, liver and other organs and can not make them work properly.  She will have to start chemotherapy soon for it.  This is why she is so weak and passing out so much.  She’s lost 100 lbs (without trying). She hasn’t been able to do hair for over 3 months now and for the past 2 years had to significantly slow down.

It has really hurt them financially and this awesome family has always been givers and never takers, but I think it’s time they have their turn. She was in the hospital 9 times last year, twice this year already, and rode in an ambulance 3 times as well. So you can imagine the enormous medical bills.

She’s done hair for 36 years and wants to get back as soon as possible. She can’t imagine not being with her clients who are like family to her. Her sweet boys quit school just to work full-time to help the family, and Bryton’s been such a help too.
