HELP SHAWNA WEINSTEIN RECOVER FROM HEART SURGERY
If you’ve ever met Shawna (aka Rose) you would know that she is one of a kind! With her boundless energy and giant heart, all she wants is to make everyone around her feel good. She is funny, charming, caring and extremely hard working. If you ever need anything, she is there for you. Shawna works in customer service/sales where she has won awards for excellence because all of her customers love her.
Yesterday, my best friend of 25+ years, woke up in pain and couldn’t move her leg. Paramedics took her to the hospital where they determined that she had a tear in the aortic valve in her heart and that she needed immediate lifesaving heart surgery. She was rushed to Sunnybrook and survived the surgery, thank God. She is currently in stable condition however, she has a long road ahead of her.
Shawna is also a single mother to a beautiful 10 year old daughter Layla. Shawna works very hard to give her daughter everything she can but, as a single mother they are always just getting by. Now, after this surgery, without help, Shawna will not be able to meet all of her monthly expenses and bills.
That’s where we come in! I started this go fund me to help her have as much time as she needs to recover from this life changing event without the financial stress. While Shawna is unconscious, her sister Merissa Badali will have authorization to withdraw funds in order to pay Shawna’s bills such as her rent, car payments and insurance, utilities etc. Once Shawna is conscious all remaining funds will be transferred to Shawna in order to help pay her expenses while she is off work and recovering.
