On Sunday March 29th Shawna was involved in a serious motorcycle accident. She was taken to Oelwein Hospital where it was quickly determined that she would need to be flown to U of I Hospital in order to restore bloodflow to her left arm. She also has severe nerve damage, a fracture to her humerus bone and a burst fracture in her spine. These injuries have already required multiple surgeries with more to come as well as months of therapy and rehab. Shawna has a long recovery road ahead of her.

Shawna is currently in the ICU at University of Iowa Hospital. Her husband has been by her side with unwavering support. As many of you know, Shawna and Austin are incredibly generous, caring, and hard working people who would never ask for help themselves, but with both of them unable to work and mounting medical bills the financial burden is becoming overwhelming.

We want Shawna and Austin to focus entirely on Shawna’s healing.
