I never imagined I’d be in a position where I’d need to ask for help, but after decades of hard work as a truck driver and owner-operator, I’m facing a challenge I can’t overcome alone. I’ve been driving since 1998, hauling heavy loads across the country, and while I’ve always known the risks of the job, I never expected to be sidelined like this. Two months ago, while hauling a load from Washington to Miami, I tore my rotator cuff and damaged tendons in my shoulder. The pain was immediate and intense, and I had to make the difficult decision to come home and park my truck. An MRI confirmed the damage, and now I’m facing surgery and a long recovery.
With no income coming in, the bills are piling up fast. I won’t be able to return to work for at least four months, and I’m scared of losing everything I’ve worked so hard for. The funds raised here will go directly toward keeping a roof over our heads, paying for gas to get to doctor appointments, and making sure we have propane to cook and heat our home. We also need help with storage unit rent, credit card payments to protect my credit, and food and supplies for our four rescue cats and three dogs who depend on us.
I’m in a lot of pain and worried about what the future holds, but I’m holding onto hope that there are people out there willing to lend a hand. If you’re able to help, your support will mean the world to me and my family. Your kindness will never be forgotten, and I’ll be forever grateful for any help you can share during this difficult time.
