My name is Shawn, and I never imagined I’d be in this position. After 15 years working as a steelworker, I lost my job and, at the same time, my marriage ended. The past few months have been the hardest of my life. Right now, I’m living in my truck, trying to figure out how to move forward and provide for myself and my children.

What keeps me going is the hope of having a safe place to call home again—not just for me, but for my kids. I’m trying to get a camper so we can have shelter, stability, and a space to be together out of the elements. It’s not easy to ask for help, but I know I can’t do this alone. Every bit of support will help me take a step toward rebuilding and giving my children the comfort and security they deserve.
