My cat Shawn is the sweetest boy you will ever meet. He is diagnosed with feline Hyperesteshia which is a disorder that causes severe nerve pain. This nerve pain has caused him to chase his tail in search of relief from the pain but while doing that he injured it very badly. We monitored the wound and the tissue has now turned black indicating necrosis and we have been told he will need his tail amputated. We have been quoted by a vet clinic that it will cost 1,500 dollars. We desperately need to keep our boy but we cannot afford the surgery alone.
