Help Shawn Fight Aggressive Bladder Cancer

My name is Lorraine Sanchez West. My son was diagnosed with bladder cancer several years ago. Last week, he was diagnosed with bladder cancer and it has come back with a vengeance. During this time, he also had a very bad urine and blood infection, causing him to be at St. Mark's Hospital for 1 week. Of course, he needed several tests, CT scans, and blood work. He also needed antibiotics the whole time in the hospital. The finding was a very large tumor that blocked 1 kidney. This kidney is non-functioning. He cannot have surgery at this point but will be receiving chemotherapy and radiation. We are hoping this will help him to live for additional years. He has not been released for work; we feel, as the doctors, a longer recovery is needed at this point. Shawn Wharram, he will be 55 on the 15th of May. He has always been a hard worker, never asking for anything, and he has been a highlight in our lives. As his mother, I need him to live. I know it’s in God's hands, but this is a very difficult time for his family.
