Hi everyone,

We’re reaching out on behalf of our neighbors and friends, Shawn & Carolyn Bissonnette and their son, who are going through an incredibly difficult time and need our community’s support.

Shawn is a skilled and hardworking carpenter who has spent his life helping others build and repair their homes. Now, he’s the one who needs a helping hand.

In 2020, wind brought a massive tree crashing down onto the Bissonnette home, causing severe damage to the roof and structural integrity. Being a carpenter, Shawn began the painstaking process of rebuilding the house himself. Unfortunately, he experienced a number of physical health setbacks before he could complete the work. And last week, a major medical emergency for Shawn left him unable to work at all for the foreseeable future.

With the house under construction, the family has been residing in a small camper on their property, with Shawn trying to recover his health while living without the comfort or safety of a permanent home.
