Hi, I’m Shawn. My wife and I work hard every day to make the best of what we have

— but there’s one challenge we simply can’t overcome on our own: transportation.

For most people, getting into a car and going out is simple. For us, it’s a daily struggle.

My wife’s limited mobility makes it difficult—and sometimes unsafe—for her to get in

and out of our vehicle. Because of this, she rarely leaves our apartment except for

church. Watching her feel trapped, unable to enjoy the world outside, breaks my

heart.

A wheelchair-accessible van would change everything. It would give her freedom,

safety, and dignity — the ability to visit family, attend appointments, and enjoy

simple moments like a drive together or a walk in the park.

We’ve explored grants and assistance programs, but unfortunately, we don’t qualify.

And while we both work hard, after rent, bills, and medical costs, saving enough for a

van feels out of reach.

That’s why I’m reaching out — not just for help, but for hope.
