Hi everyone, my name is Shaunya and I'm a junior at Shakopee High School. On April 27th, I competed in the MN State National History Day contest with my documentary on the Spanish Civil War and I came in first place in my category! I now have the surreal opportunity to compete at Nationals at the University of Maryland this summer with students from across the country. I've worked for more than a year on my research and documentary, and my goal is to set myself up as best as possible to be in that finals room at Nationals.

However travel is expensive and unfortunately district funds are tight right now. I need to raise $2,000 to cover airfare, lodging, and registration to attend.
