Hi I’m Shauna! Many of you have supported me over the years as I rescue animals independently as rescues are always full to the brim. I do everything I can to keep suffering at a minimal. This time, here in Costa Rica, a worker found an emaciated pregnant mom who two days later gave birth at their construction site. Sadly, a few were given away at two weeks old, but now that I know where they are, I am determined to do everything I can to put the remaining nine babies and mom in the best forever homes as possible, fully vetted adopted with love.

When I met the brave mama dog doing everything she can to keep her nine tiny puppies alive in the Costa Rican jungle, I saw she has no one to help her. I was her only hope and of course I’m now committed to seeing this rescue to completion.

I’m doing everything I can to give them a chance, but I have no resources, not enough foster homes available, and every rescue I’ve contacted is completely full.

I’m asking our community to come together to help this little family get the care, comfort, and hope they desperately need.

• Full vetting for Mama and all 9 puppies

• Vaccinations and deworming

• ✂️ Spay and neuter surgeries (to stop the cycle of suffering)

• Nutritious food and puppy formula

• Building a small safe shelter until a foster home opens up
