Hello friends, family, and compassionate strangers,
We’re reaching out during one of the hardest times in our lives.
My partner and I are a homeless couple doing everything we can to survive and rebuild — living on a single income and holding onto hope through hard work and determination.
I’m fully employed in the local fishing industry for a well-respected company in Salinas, California, working overtime most weeks just to keep us going. Until recently, we were staying in low-cost motels around Seaside, but we’ve now completely run out of funds for that.
Right now, our car is all we have — it’s our only shelter, our way to get to work, access food, hygiene, and stay safe. But both of our car’s water pumps have failed, and the estimated repair cost is at least $2,000. Without the repairs, our car won’t run at all, and without it, we risk losing everything — especially my job.
We’re doing everything we can, but this is a setback we just can’t overcome alone.
### How the funds will be used:
* Water pump repairs (both pumps): ~$2,000
* Emergency transportation or temporary shelter if needed during the repair
* Any remaining funds will go toward food, hygiene, and other essentials
We know times are tough for many. Asking for help is not easy, but we’re holding onto hope that someone out there might be able to give us a hand when we need it most.
Every donation — no matter how small — helps more than you know. And if you’re not in a place to give, sharing this would still mean the world to us.
Thank you so much for reading, for caring, and for helping us get through this.
With sincere gratitude,
Shauna and Aaron
