Hi all, I'm Shaun, or Cursed Silicon. Some of y'all know me as a small retro YouTube person or technical loudmouth on Mastodon and other places. I've been trying to get Social Security disability in addition to finding gainful employment.

While I was able to recently secure a job, I've had my start date pushed back repeatedly. Combined with a friend admitting he simply "can't pay" the $1500 he owes me, this has caused my landlord to issue a notice to pay or vacate once again. Unfortunately, my unemployment has also expired, and combined with the legal costs of filing a (lawyer-assisted) appeal for Social Security benefits, I'm in a severe financial bind once more.

I don't want to make a habit of this. I'm simply trying to get back on my feet, hopefully by the end of this year.
