Help Shaun Rebuild After Devastating Fire
Donation protected
I am sure you have all heard about the fire last weekend at Bell Collier Village. What you may not have heard is one of our own, Shaun Van Orsouw, has lost his home and everything in it.
He has not been allowed inside yet. I know he is eager for the chance to go in and find out if he is able to salvage anything. Yet, the police and fire department are not hopeful. With 2 of the 5 floors collapsing, smoke and water damage have taken their toll.
He is currently staying with a friend but had to leave his home with nothing and has had to replace even the most basic of his belongings…things we take for granted everyday.
We are all heartbroken for Shaun. He is family! And while I know he will come out the other side and rebuild his home elsewhere, it will be a long road.
If you would like to help Shaun make it through until things settle down, please donate here. Except for transaction charges, it all goes to him.
If you would like to show your support in any other way, I know he would be grateful. So, feel free to reach out to him directly to coordinate.
Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers and send all the good vibes you can his way!
*It is very important to note, Lily is safe and sound thanks to Shaun’s heroic 3 block run, a covert trek up the back stairs and a little trickery to loose the fireman chasing him. What an amazing dog dad! ❤️❤️❤️
UPDATE: the authorities have told him his unit is too damaged and he will not be allowed back in at all, not even to see if anything can be saved.
