Help Shaun Fight T-Cell Prolymphocytic Leukemia

Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,

With heavy hearts, we reach out to share the story of Shaun, a 46-year-old husband and father who is facing a life-altering challenge. Shaun was recently diagnosed with T-Cell Prolymphocytic Leukemia, a rare and aggressive cancer affecting 65% of his bone marrow. This devastating news has shaken his small, close-knit family—his beloved wife and two daughters—and we’re humbly asking for your support to help him fight for his life and his family.

Shaun is a quiet, deeply devoted man whose world revolves around his wife and daughters. He cherishes every single moment with his wife, spending hours playing cribbage, going to the beach, cooking together and enjoying heartfelt conversations that reflect their unbreakable bond of 27 years. His love for his daughters is boundless, filled with pride for who they are and hope for their futures.

The battle against T-Cell Prolymphocytic Leukemia is daunting, requiring intensive treatments like chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplant, and ongoing medical care. This is were your financial assistance would come in. Shaun needs a bone marrow transplant. In order to do that he would be hospitalized at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto California for one month. The first week would be getting a cocktail of chemotherapies to make his white blood cell count as low as possible so that his body will accept the transplant. Then he would have the transplant and stay in the hospital for 3 weeks after to monitor him for infection, rejection and side effects. After that they require him to be within 40 mins of Stanford Hospital for 3 months following the one month hospital stay. We live 2ish hours from Palo Alto so we would have to rent a place there to be that close. Which is a financial challenge in itself but on top of that he can’t be left alone AT ALL for those 3 months. They were very insistent on this point. They said not even to run to the store for milk. He could have hallucinations, medication reactions, rejection symptoms and a ton of other side effects. Which means I can’t work during that time as I don’t have a work at home job. And I don’t get paid time off and the state won’t pay me to stay home with him. The only way to save my husband’s life is getting the one chemotherapy medication that works for his type of leukemia and the bone marrow transplant. He’s getting chemo now but the time for the bone marrow transplant is coming and we are scared because we can’t afford it. So we are asking for the public’s help. These treatments come with overwhelming costs—medical bills, travel to specialists, and time away from work—that Shaun’s family cannot bear alone. Your donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward his medical and living expenses, giving him access to the care he needs to keep fighting.

Shaun’s love for his family drives him to face this challenge with courage, but he needs our help. Your contributions, prayers, and shares will ease the financial burden and show Shaun that he’s surrounded by a community who cares. Every act of kindness is a reminder that he’s not alone, giving him strength to fight for more time with his wife, more moments to cherish his daughters, and more chances to heal and rebuild.

Please, from the depths of our hearts, we ask you to donate today and share this campaign with others. Let’s wrap Shaun and his family in love and support, helping him focus on what matters most—his health and the family he holds so dear. Thank you for standing with Shaun, his wife, and his family in this fight.

With love and gratitude,
Shaun’s Family
