About 5 days ago, my Malamute, Shasta, started to lose her appetite, which is very unusual for her. When my husband and I noticed she was having a hard time keeping water down and having concerning stools, I immediately rushed her up to Aurora Animal Hospital. Life has been very stressful as we all know how that can be! From a recent move to a baby on the way, we appreciate all the help we can get! We are currently waiting on blood tests and x-ray results, and I will post an update when I know more.
Shasta has always been a lively and loving companion, so seeing her struggle has been heartbreaking for our family. The veterinarians at Aurora Animal Hospital have been working hard to diagnose and treat Shasta. She’s needed tests, medication, and close monitoring, and we’re doing everything we can to help her recover. The costs for her care are adding up quickly, and we want to make sure she gets the best chance at a full recovery.
The funds raised will go directly toward Shasta’s vet bills and medical expenses. Any support—whether it’s a donation, sharing our story, or sending good wishes—means the world to Matthew, me, and Shasta. Thank you so much for being part of her journey to healing!
