Hello! I'm Sharon Stark. I'm raising funds for a high school friend, Colleen Theilacker Knapp, who has been homeless for a couple of years. She has been living in her car.

This week, she was able to stay at a facility with hopes of getting in their program, but something happened with her car. She now needs money for repairs.

Here is her message:

"On Monday, my jeep began having heating problems. I mentioned to one of the staff at the front desk window about my car needing automotive attention.

Being that the rules are very strict where I was staying, hours that entail at least 3-4 hrs of being locked out (day or night); the communications were not always the best there. In this case, with my car, I knew it would take time to get a diagnostic, schedule a repair, and arrange rides to get back and forth to the car dealership. These are the things I only learned about today through the service dept. Tomorrow, they are all set to check me in and begin the service repair. The mechanic who looked at my Jeep at the service department this afternoon, took one good look and found the problem. They can have the service work done fairly quickly, within an hour. They ordered the part by late afternoon, advised me not to drive my jeep far. The repair needs to be done.

I'm putting the word out that I don't have the money to pay the repair bill."
