hello, my name is Sharon Danielle Hein and I am a 38-year-old mother of three, wife of one and caregiver to all. I’ve worked very hard my whole life and I thought I was just sick at first. I thought it was every day illness and fatigue. After not getting better no matter what I tried and having pain in my side I knew I had to be seen. Finally, I went to the emergency room. With no exact cause for the pain, and irregular blood results. Followed up with my primary care provide who stated irregular blood with possibility of leukemia but want to test again. After testing I became really sick and went straight to er where I was diagnosed with leukemia and sent to Musc. Which is here I been since May 26, 2025. Now not being able to work putting a strain on my family and on top of that I am 2 hours away from my kids and the gas it takes for them come visit is a lot.
