Help Sharon through her second fight with cancer

Hi, my name is Laurie and my sister Sharon Manuel has acute myeloid leukaemia. She was diagnosed in August 2020 and was declared cancer free this year in January. Her family, friends and the Deer Lake residents were so supportive emotionally and financially to help her through it. Since returning home she has gained strength, returned to her gardening and treasured every moment of her new life.

Sadly it returned this week and she’s again back for more treatment in St. John’s. After 5 weeks she’ll be transported to Ottawa where we are hopeful a donor transplant will occur.

Sharon and her husband Adlai have already been there and back on the first round and this second round has taken them to the limit. She’s a fierce, positive woman who can beat this again! She had an army of loving people who prayed and supported her last year and we ask for help again. Your donations will help them cover living and travel expenses while they go through this most stressful time in their lives.
