Help Sharon Stay in Her Home After the Loss of Her Husband

Hello friends, family, and compassionate strangers,

We are Rodney, Gina, Michael, and Theresa, the children of Sharon Romero, and we’re reaching out during one of the hardest times our family has ever faced.

Our mother, Sharon Romero (79), recently lost her beloved husband, Joe Romero (84). They were married for 36 years and spent their entire life together in the same home—building memories, raising a family, and sharing a quiet, beautiful life.

Joe was not only our stepfather and Sharon’s partner—he was her rock, her daily support, and the main provider in their household. With his passing, our mother is now not only grieving the loss of the man she loved, but also struggling to afford the home they shared for over three decades.

She’s doing everything she can to apply for assistance programs, but these things take time—time she doesn’t currently have. Without immediate help, she may be forced to leave her home before that support arrives.

We’ve created this GoFundMe to ask for help from our community and beyond—to give our mother the time and stability she needs right now. Our goal is to raise enough to cover several months of housing and basic expenses while she finds her footing and secures the long-term assistance she needs.
