Help Sharon Send Cancer Running

Our runner Sharon has added a new race to her life...fighting cancer and sending IT running! Anyone, who knows Sharon is struck with what a hard worker she is...at work of course but, that’s not the complete picture. She’s also been raising 3 amazing children Savannah 22, Caroline 20, and Thomas 15. And, in addition over the last decade + , she’s also dealt with an autoimmune disease that goes in and out of remission.  All, while continuing to run and train at a sub elite level!

In July, Sharon was surprised to be diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, the kind that can be harder to treat. Then, she was shocked to find out that her insurance policy will not cover any cancer treatment! 

Ever the fighter, Sharon moved forward and started weekly treatments which will last through December 2021. She has started with chemotherapy and immunotherapy. This will be followed by surgery and five weeks of daily radiation and a six month immunotherapy maintenance program.  Between chemo and other cancer related labs and appointments her monthly medical bills are astronomical. This puts her at a deficit each month.

 I want Sharon to be able to focus her energy on getting better and sending cancer running. Will you join me and help me raise $30,000 for her? She truly hates asking for anything ( in fact she didn’t, I offered to set this fund up for her).
