Help Sharon Rebuild After Tragic Fire

Sharon Stokes challenging journey began with her stroke in November 2020 and then Breast Cancer diagnosis with radiation treatment ending September 2024. Tragically, on August 25, 2024, her son James, who has Cerebral Palsy, suffered a stroke that impaired the use of his left side. As a single parent, Sharon has dedicated herself to supporting his recovery, often staying overnight in hospitals and rehabilitation facilities.

On October 21, 2024, while at the rehab facility, she learned that her home had been destroyed by fire. Although grateful that they were safe, Sharon feels overwhelmed by the loss, and lacking homeowner's insurance.

Two weeks ago, she was looking for help in building a ramp at her home, today she needs a home to build a ramp. She is seeking assistance to rebuild her family’s historical home, which has been in her family for over 80 years. Monetary donations would help secure contractors for renovations, and she is also hopeful for contributions of time and materials to help in her family’s time of need.
