Hi everyone, my name is Lauren. I am raising funds to help one of my closest friends of over 20 years, Sharon.

On January 6, a five-alarm fire in Ridgewood tore through three buildings. Sharon lived in one of them 1826 Madison St with her father for over 10 years. She is devastated after losing everything she has ever owned. Most heartbreakingly, she lost irreplaceable items belonging to her mother, who passed away from breast cancer in 2001.

Sharon is currently in a hotel waiting to see what the city and the Red Cross can provide. While they have been helpful, she will likely have to move into a shelter within days, which is a difficult situation to face after such a trauma.
