Help Sharon help her Mom, Carolyn
Donation protected
Hello. My name is Elisabeth and I would like to help my best friend and her Mom in their time of need.
They do so much for others but never ask for help for themselves.
At the moment, they are faced with a monumental bill to replace the engine in their car which is their only means to get back and forth to necessary medical appointments.
Please consider helping Sharon who is the sole caregiver to her Mother, Carolyn. Sharon is a very generous and giving individual who will never ask for help, even in times of need. She never fails to be there and extends herself to others, whether it is her family, friends or neighbors.
Sharon is an incredible and attentive caregiver to her Mother, and even has been there for friends like me to help my daughter with rides or care or even to look after our dogs and other members of our family. She is always there for any emergency situation.
Sharon has spent years as a caregiver to her Mother, Carolyn, while working hard to pay off her car payments for seven solid years, only for the engine to go on her car after her most recent and final car payment. She and her Mother are faced with a bill of almost $8,000 to replace the engine and get the car up and running again. This car is their lifeline and fits the needs of both Sharon and her Mother, allowing her the ability to fit and carry her wheelchair and any other equipment she may need. The car is high enough to allow her Mother to get in and out with minimal assistance from Sharon. Sharon cannot even get to her own medical appointments until her car is back in service.
On October 31, 2023, Carolyn had a heart attack and mini strokes while having a small eye procedure done.
She has COPD. emphysema, stage 3 kidney failure, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, afib, lymphoma and lingering issues from her mini strokes and her heart attack. As a result, she requires constant follow up medical care with several specialists. She relies on her daughter and use of this car to get to appointments, as other means of transportation would not be safe for her.
Carolyn and Sharon must follow up with specialists across Long Island, including a neurologist in Lynbrook, a cardiologist in Rockville Centre, a primary care physician in Bellmore and scans in Carle Place and Massapequa, a glaucoma specialist in Oceanside just to name a few. When she is hospitalized, she must go to Winthrop.
Going to the cardiologist is paramount due to the 4 stents she had put in.
Please consider helping a family who never asks for help in their time of need. It is time to reciprocate and give back to people who always do for others only. I wouldn't be doing this, but Sharon wouldn't ask for help.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Let's help them the way they help others.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
