Sharon is my mother, and she’s currently facing a very difficult and urgent situation. Yesterday, she had to leave her home in California suddenly to escape an abusive relationship. She’s now driving across the country, trying to reach a friend who can offer her a safe place to stay, but she doesn’t have enough money for gas or food to make the journey safely.

Sharon has spent her whole life caring for others as a nurse, always putting her patients and family first. She’s the kind of person who would do anything to help someone in need, and now she’s the one who needs help. This sudden and dangerous situation has fractured our family, and it’s been incredibly hard to know that she’s out there on her own, trying to get to safety. I want nothing more than to see her safe and sound, and to help her start a new chapter away from fear.

The funds raised here will go directly toward gas, food, and anything else she needs to complete her trip to safety.
